Sunset News: We need some clarification:

"We know we belong to the land and the land we belong to is grand"

We need some clarification:

We need some clarification:

The government will not establish a church. People are free to worship and to participate in politics. (THE PILGRIMS CAME BECAUSE THE KING OF ENGLAND WANTED A DIVORCE AND THE POPE WOULD NOT GRANT ONE, HENCE HE STARTED THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND AND PRESTO WAS GRANTED A DIVORCE)

The FEDERAL government will only PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE, AS ORIGINALY STATED IN THE PREAMBLE.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WILL PROVIDE THE COMMON DEFENSE (MAINTAIN AN ARMY)

THE STATES WILL DETERMINE MOST ISSUES AT THE STATE LEVEL. wHAT WORKS IN aLASKA MIGHT NOT WORK IN fLORIDA.

WE SHOULD GET OUT OF THE UNITED NATIONS. IT HAS BECOME A FARCE AND WE ARE FOOTING 70% OR MORE OF THE COST.

LET’S REQUIRE THAT EVERYONE CARRY A GUN. I WOULD BET THAT CRIME GOES way DOWN.

NEW LAW…. IF YOU VIOLATE SOMEONES CIVIL RIGHTS, YOU AUTOMATICALLY WAIVE YOURS.

NO TIME OFF FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS “WHITE COLOR CRIME”. HARD TIME SHOULD BE THE RULE.

LET’S MAKE SCRUPLES A FACTOR IN GRANTING A LAW LICENSE.

THERE WAS A BUMPER STICKER AROUND DALLAS IN THE EARLY 80’S THAT READ “lOVE ny TAKE 1-30 EAST

I SAY LOVE AMERICA. LOVE SOME OTHER COUNTRY, TAKE A PLANE, WE’LL FIGURE OUT A WAY TO PAY FOR THE TICKET FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO LEAVE. (BECAUSE THE WON’T LOVE AMERICA)

THERE ARE NO HYPHONATED AMERICANS. eNGLISH-AMERICAN FRENCH-AMERICAN GREEK-AMERICAN AN AMERICAN IS A BLEND OF ALL WHO CAME HERE SEEKING OUR FREEDOM. COME ONE, COME ALL… LEAVE YOUR BAGGAGE BEHIND AND BEGIN ANEW AS AND AMERICAN. NO AFRICAN-AMERICANS, NO MEXICAN-AMERICANS. tHIS CULTRUAL IDENTITY CAME IN WITH jfk AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED BEFORE IT TOOK HOLD.

and for some of you idiots

AGAIN I SAY AMERICA, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT.

YOU MAY NOT AGREE WITH ME AND THAT IS THE GREAT THING ABOUT AMERICA. I WILL FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO THINK DIFFERENTLY. AS LONG AS IT IS NOT TO DESTROY AMERICA.

Hi,

First I want to apologies for making this posting anonymous, kind of in a rush to create an account, but did want to take a minute to answer this post, will create an account later and identify myself.
I have to say that I agree with most things you have said here more strongly with "YOU MAY NOT AGREE WITH ME AND THAT IS THE GREAT THING ABOUT (THE UNITED STATES OF) AMERICA. I WILL FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO THINK DIFFERENTLY", some others, not quite agree, but again, we all have the right to disagree. But the one that I do have to clarify is the name of the country you and I both love, The United States of America (as written on the dollar bill, not America. America is a continent in which our beloved United States just happens to be a part of. my reason for bringing this up is because I believe we must know the real name of things and call them by what they are as you have expressed yourself. Secondly, by calling this County America, we will be acting in deceit and high jacking a name that many other countries have a right to.
That was a fact, now for my opinion about loving this country or leaving it. While I again, agree with you 10000% we have to be careful what do we really mean by that? Does expressing your disgust with our government's action and/or policies considered not loving it? Or perhaps disagreeing with any of the wars because perhaps someone feels that soldiers are being put in harms way for the wrong reasons makes you a not country loving person?

Again, "YOU MAY NOT AGREE WITH ME AND THAT IS THE GREAT THING ABOUT (THE UNITED STATES OF) AMERICA. I WILL FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO THINK DIFFERENTLY"

Would love to hear your opinion about this and yes, regardless of our nationalities, backgrounds, religion, we are all United States Citizens!
OOh by the way, I have another question for you.
Would you agree that some new immigrants that have worked hard, payed their taxes, never got in trouble, law abiding RESIDENTS, deserved to be acknowledged as U.S Citizens while other U.S born deserved to be sent to an lonely island because they have acted in the opposite way of the other guy I just mentioned?

Best Regards,

Ed
