Chrysler Sale Delayed Due To Indiana Objections

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The sale of Chrysler to Fiat is being delayed because of objections from the state of Indiana. Indiana Treasurer Richard Mourdock says he's concerned that three state pension funds will suffer significantly if the sale goes through.

Mourdock's objections to the sale will be heard tomorrow before a three-judge panel at the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York. Mourdock claims that the federal government is breaking the law and causing Indiana pensioners and other funds to suffer losses.

Mourdock says secured creditors are not being treated fairly by the federal government in its plan to become a part-owner of Chrysler.
